Lord knows how much I’ve been trying to save up for my upcoming trip to Osaka this month. I’ve been looking forward to that trip for so long. Little did I know that most, if not all, of my savings would be spent for something else—my little brother’s hospitalization.
I don’t regret spending for him of course. Definitely not. The thing is, since I know I have a big trip coming, I know I should give up some precious items from my to-buy list just to make the most of what I have left (Or in this case, what I was expecting for this month’s salary). Well, makeup wasn’t among them!
There’s been a long list of things-to-buy, but I knew I could squeeze in “makeup” somehow. I just couldn’t resist passing by the makeup alleys at SM Marikina. I cheated and told myself, “Only a glance!” Pfff. Who was I kidding? LOL The moment I tried a lipstick on, I knew I was screwed. I normally don’t try out things from makeup stalls. You know. Germs.
To make the story short, I ended up buying the lipstick. And girls, help me out in here. Since I was surrounded by makeup aplenty, I knew I just had to buy some more. The eye-shadow duo was lovely. The concealer was perfect. The foundation was my shade. The eyeliner and the mascara were begging me to take them. True story.
In the end, I ended up having a complete haul. Bye-bye Maybelline. Hello E.L.F. haul!
And to heal my broken pocket? A pink pouch for everything I purchased and an extra concealer were thrown in as free gifts. Thanks, Miss!
No regrets. :p
