My wedding is coming so soon!!!
Everyday, as I look in the mirror, I will be constantly reminded that I can be awesome. It's not about how much makeup I put on. It's about how much I value myself. (Oh, and have I mentioned I designed this vanity? Please see here. See, told ya I'm a girl with a mind, woman with attitude, and a lady with class! LOL ) Though my sister and I share the above vanity, it would be nicer to inspire her even more. And so, I hijacked her bedroom mirror! LOL. Kidding aside, her bedroom doubles as her workplace since she's a home-based worker. The walls witness all the hard work, anxiety, fun, stress, excitement, name it. But what matters most is that--- it's where she dreams. Hope sticking it here would give her the extra push in achieving what she aims to achieve! :) -------------------------------------------- To get your own boxes: Visit: www.bdjbox.com FB: www.facebook.com/BDJBox -------------------------------------------- #BDJBox August Box My (official) wedding is coming!* There's a mixture of emotions--- fear, anxiety, but most importantly, excitement. It's one of the most important milestones in a woman's life. A start of a new beginning. I choose to stick it on my wedding album. This will be a great reminder that as I turn into a married woman, it should never stop me from being.... a GIRL with a MIND, a WOMAN with ATTITUDE, and a LADY with CLASS. This will forever remind me that I may be changing my name, but it won't change who I am, and I can still be who I want to become. I'll stick it in me. FOREVER. :) *We had a very private civil wedding less than three months ago, but we will be having our formal wedding soon. :) --------------------------------------------

And so I subscribed. I was so frustrated that after hesitating for a few hours, the July box was SOLD OUT. I think that was another force which helped me make up my mind to immediately avail of a subscription. To cut the long story short---- I was assigned an AUGUST box! Since BDJBox is so in demand, I ended up waiting, waiting, and waiting for my subscribed month to arrive. Seeing updates regarding people's unboxing even fueled my anticipation. Finally, an announcement. I literally dropped my jaw. Not because of excitement, but due to dismay. :( Why, oh, why???!!! Honestly, I am a cosmetics freak, but never did I pay attention to my hair. Why of all months, the "hair box" has got to be assigned on my month!?? Now fast forward to, like, one day of constant thinking. I completely changed my mind. After excruciatingly thinking why had I been assigned the said box, I realized that it's actually not a bad idea after all. Thinking about it, it was indeed destiny. Maybe it's time that I give my hair some lovin'. In the past, the most I've done was to have it rebonded once a year and that's only because I find it more manageable and easier to forget about. Talking about how lazy I truly am, huh?! I guess it's about time that I spend extra time to tend to my hair. As they say, our hair is our crowning glory. No matter how fully made up our face and all, a neat and clean hair would really complete the look. I used to find it pointless to spend a lot of money on hair products when hair grows fast and gets cut anyway. Now, I fully understand how products applied onto your hair affect future growth. Sounds like a good investment. Thanks BDJ for this ticket to luscious locks! L'Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Nourishing Mask, 200 ml (Php 1,095) L'Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil, 125 ml (Php 995) Garnier Philippines Color Naturals, 100 ml (Php 199) Blo Blow Dry Bar Vouchers (Php 400) These products, I wouldn't have bought for myself. That's the beauty of having BDJBox. I wouldn't have known what I've been missing. These products are totally useful. I choose to give the BLO vouchers to my mother though, because we used to have the same hair philosophy. It's time that she gets the hair lovin' she so deserves. :) I guess BDJ truly understands our needs. BDJ didn't forget to include a skincare product, the Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, which I found very useful during trying times like this. Click here for my skin dilemma! It also included sachets of the oh so fragrant Fan Di Fendi Blossom. It makes me feel so expensive. lol. Oh and not to mention the pretty pink Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Shine (in Pink Cloud) which is to die for! Thanks BDJ BOX!!! Will definitely subscribe again! --------------------------------------------

For one, I am blessed with a very sensitive skin (or is it "cursed"?). I do research on some popular products for my type of skin, but I definitely have to try them out first to make sure they fit me. I am my own guinea pig! I've never had clear skin in a long time. Even the popular products or the mildest ones could never help me achieve a blemish-free skin. There were times when even gentle products would still inflame my skin. :( It's either a hit or a miss when I try a new product! But normally the latter. :( In the recent weeks, I have been literally "back to basics". I would only use baby products to relieve the redness on my skin. I've been dealing with some tiny bumps on the forehead. (Kindly refer to the pic below.) I blame my recent beach vacation for this. I got so lazy on vacation that I felt so stressed out to even follow my usual skincare routine. Not to mention the sun! Oh how it dried my skin! During the first week I got back home, I had to stop using the usual products I had because they seemed to not work anymore and would further induce redness. Aside from a gentle facial wash, I only applied my new favorite, SHISEIDO BABY Medicated Powder, to avoid oiliness. It's so mild that I can even sleep with it on. It was so frustrating not being able to try out my newly ordered cosmetics (I love online shopping, by the way!). I decided to deal with my skin issue first before slapping cosmetics onto my face again. Or at least find a good skincare product that would counter the bad effects of cosmetics. In addition to that, I am getting married. Yes. I AM GETTING MARRIED. SOON. I need to have a decent skin. Then came my first ever BDJBox! Read here. It's named "Luscious Locks", luckily though, it contained a skincare product--- Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate So I said, why not? Shiseido is a well-trusted company all over the world. In addition, being a Japan-made product makes it even more reliable (I believe). I've used many Japanese products which are mostly my HGs (holy grails). I also knew I've got to start using makeup again, so I need to find a decent cream or whatsoever to put underneath. I've been using the Ultimune sampler for about a week now. And since I wasn't part of the lucky 100 who got the Golden Ticket containing the full size product, I need to really make my sampler go a long way. Normally, after just a few days of trying a product out, I'd already know if it'd be pointless to continue. But with this one, I've actually noticed my skin being more hydrated and moisturized. Some dark spots have been reduced, I guess. I love the smell, too. I'm really a sucker for scented cosmetics though I know they may cause allergic reactions. I do need more time to use this product though to really see big results. But in the mean time, I'd say it's doing quite well. I am confident to put on makeup once again without the fear of inflaming my skin. I don't fear using makeup anymore knowing that my skin is receiving vitamins to restore itself. I hope the good effects continue! And if it really does, God help me find a way to shell out some money. It's a bit pricey! --------------------------------------------

I am so excited to try these out. I don't even know which one to start first................ (happydance) It started with a sketch...
Never mind the price--- Physiogel has got to be on your kikay kit!
I totally regret buying the Olay Regenerist line. I already had some kind of a premonition, but then I was so determined to buy Olay Regenerist to even care that time. It was only a few days after I started using Regenerist and noticing that my face had actually flared up compared to when I was using Olay Total Effects. I started staring at the receipt stapled on the Watson's bag showing how much I shelled out for the serum and day/night cream and had a glimpse on the Physiogel booklet inside it. I had no idea what it was. I just got hold of it while scanning the shelves at Watson's then tossed it together with my purchases. Out of desperation, I started reading it. I knew I had to quit Regenerist, at least for a while, and I just didn't know what to replace it with. I was seriously considering on going back to Olay Total Effects, but I didn't want to splurge again and gamble on the results. I was actually hoping for a better (and hopefully cheaper) alternative. Physiogel initially made me think it was some kind of hype just like what other beauty products do. But after seeing "GlaxoSmithKline" on the packaging, I realized it was something different. GlaxoSmithKline is uberly popular in the medical field so knowing it endorses a beauty product, it made me want to trust that product--- Physiogel. So there I was again. Searching. Researching. Deciding. I finally made up my mind to purchase Physiogel! Lucky enough, my research showed that it now offers trial sachets. Like I said, it really doesn't feel good buying another pricey cosmetic product after my Regenerist fail. Though I had high hopes for it, the price still scared me. Now fast forward to my newly bought Physiogel sachets (cream, cleanser, lotion)... One use and I noticed how nourished my face felt like. Yes, they all seemed greasy but somehow in a good way. It really felt like I was feeding my skin all the goodies. It didn't matter whether where to apply them as they're all gentle enough for any part of the body. All, especially the cream, calmed my chest and back rashes which have been taking me years to cure. In no more than a week (and after a lot of successful research), I decided to purchase the Physiogel AI Lotion. Not that I had any choices! The AI cream version was sold out at the nearest Watson so I was forced to buy the lotion. To me, it was no problem at all. I just thought that if worst comes to worst, I still have the AI cream as a last resort. But true to its promise, Physiogel AI lotion continued to impress me. After less than another week, I decided to buy the AI cream from another Watson's branch (Farmers Market, Cubao). Here are some of the benefits I noticed since I started using Physiogel: - After a single use, my dark spots lightened. - My skin tone evened out. - Red spots were calmed. - My super-duper oily face became matte. - It's so gentle that dermatologist prescribe it to babies. *Note: I can confidently say that all gave me a noticeable, if not visible, result starting from the regular lotion. I must say though that AI cream gave the most benefit. On the other hand, AI lotion is still my favorite because it really felt nourishing and it gave me a more dewy look than the cream. As much as I would like to apply it all over my body though, I have to restrain myself. I don't want to run out of it. And even though I desperately want to hoard on all of these products, the price still holds me back. If they had been any cheaper, I'd definitely stock up on these amazing Physiogel products--- all of them!!!
Pretty cousin, Denise, from the queen city of the south, Cebu, came over to Manila and we just couldn't let the opportunity pass us by. I've been aiming to finally make use of the clothes I've collected over the past years. Being a thrift shopper who's totally obsessed with clothes, I've collected piles and piles of them which I barely even wear nor plan to wear, ever. Since I finally got a model, the next thing to do is to prepare the clothes and accessories, the camera, and the cameraman (not me!). Click READ MORE below to see how it went. :) |
