Among my favorite Kyoto adventures is definitely my visit to Fushimi Inari. The moment I arrived at the vicinity, I knew for myself that I would definitely be coming back. Not because I knew I'd never be able to climb the whole route that day, but more of because the atmosphere was really surreal. It felt so heavenly.

The opening of SM Aura seemed like hell at best. Due to the great marketing hype, I had myself delete items on my schedule just to make way for this grand opening. To tell the truth, it literally felt like Divisoria minus the paninda. People. People everywhere. You know there's something wrong when you see normal-looking people and fabulously-dressed ones lining up inside Jollibee. Made me think, 'Where the hell are the restos?" The food court didn't look any better at all. It seemed like people were desperate to find anywhere to sit on and any food to eat. True. I tried queuing wherever the line was shorter. I gave up. Luckily the cinemas were just around the corner and of course adjacent to it was the snack corner. It was hidden enough for us to only compete with those people buying snacks before watching a movie. We had grammy with us that it didn't matter what food to buy, I just wanted to buy anything just so we don't starve ourselves. That wasn't really a good first time, nonetheless I'm still willing to give it another go. I guess it was a soft opening so we shouldn't have expected everything to be fully functioning. Hopefully, my next trip will be better. PRO: - UNIQLO, Forever 21, Cotton On!!! (Hopefully H&M next year?) - Roof Garden! - Well, that's all I got so far. :( CON: - Giant stores in a tiny mall. Too small and the size of the retail stores overwhelmed the place. - ACCESSIBILITY. Please add more foot bridges outside. People crossing the streets from every direction caused extreme traffic jam. - RESTOs!!! Where are they? I believe having enough restaurants around would help keep people coming back (or make that "stay" for us). We were still too hungry and had nowhere to go and ended up at the opposite mall. Since there's nothing left to do, we ended up going back to Market!Market! just across SM Aura. It was crowded as usual, nonetheless it still exuded a more relaxing atmosphere than Aura. Lucky for us, I think Martket! Market! prepared well for Aura's opening that they invited popular local stars to perform and draw huge crowd. Anne Curtis and other stars drew a lot of people. On that day, we were able to get a glimpse of Asia's Songbird, Regine Velasquez. This trip wasn't bad after all.
I love this place.---so quiet and so elegant. LEGARE Nihonbashi-Ningyocho
http://www.legareningyocho.com/ This is how winter looks like in a garden in Tokyo. I've always associated winter with snow, but sadly they don't always go together. :( Though it was kinda disappointing, the view was still very soothing and calming. I got a chance to find a cherry blossom tree as well---- no leaves of course! Makes me all the more excited to experience how it's like to see one during spring time!!!
This museum is really among my top faves. It only takes around 5-10 minutes walk around Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station. The area isn't too commercialized. It actually sits in the middle of a traditional residential area. I didn't expect I'd stumble upon such an educational (and cool!) museum. It wasn't part of my itinerary at all.
Whenever I travel, I really can't help but notice how dogs (& cats) live in other countries. Here are some of them I found around Tokyo. Enjoy!
Lord knows how much I've been meaning to meet Hachi. Though I never really got the chance to watch Richard Gere's film adaptation, my mom would always talk about it. She's a dog lover but it's kind of an understatement knowing how charitable she has been when it comes to these creatures.
When I finally was able to visit Tokyo, there's no way I'd let the opportunity pass. There's got to be "Shibuya" somewhere in my itinerary! This place has got to be among the must-visit places in Medellin. Don't ever leave without visiting this place. May it be for the endless adventure you can experience with friends or family, or just to relax and enjoy the cool and calm breeze. We initially went for the zipline. What to expect from the name, right? Surprisingly though, we never knew there were other adventures to choose from.
